Conservation Research
The Raman spectrometer’s green laser
The laboratory relies on years of experience in
conservation research, archaeometry and analysis to address the specific issues
and problems faced by conservator-restorers, curators and archaeologists, and
to provide them with solutions. Laboratory staff have cutting-edge analytical machinery
at their disposal, along with unique reference works and a modern
infrastructure. The specific methods used are for the most part capable of
performing non-destructive examinations, and are continuously updated. The
laboratory also carries out interdisciplinary research projects.
