Information for wheelchair users | those with impaired mobility | visitors with prams

The Landesmuseum Zurich welcomes disabled visitors and families with small children. The design of the building means that some parts of the museum are not accessible for wheelchair users.

The following exhibitions are accessible for both wheelchair users and people with prams:
  • «Collections Gallery»
  • «History of Switzerland» (access is through the «Collections Gallery» via the lift on the ground floor)
  • «Swiss Homes & Furnishings» (partially accessible)
  • «Murten Diorama» (access is through the «Collections Gallery» via the lift on the ground floor and through the «History of Switzerland» exhibition)
  • Temporary exhibitions on the ground floor
  • Temporary exhibitions on the first floor (access is through the «Collections Gallery» via the lift on the ground floor
The «Armoury Tower» is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with prams.  

Toilets for disabled people can be found on the ground floor opposite the Welcome Desk, and on the second floor (access via the lift).

The museum has two wheelchairs available for people with impaired mobility.
